My progect "Reproduction" is about new technologies in medicine:
in vitro fertilisation and neonatal intensive care.
It speaks about new position in human reproduction.
A Large (like factories) clinics around the world offers people
cryogenic preservation of human embryos,giving possibility of "planning" families.
A huge hospitals helps to save lives to premature infants.
But this process also has another side - the age of parents become older,
it's no good for children,and illegal choosing of embryo's sex can lead
whole countries to demographic crisis.
I make my works, using classical form of old painting to show how beautiful
and tempting the world of new technologies, but at the same time
what a strange view opens when we look at human reproduction "factory".
That view gives me a soft sensation of absurdity and reminds me antiutopies.
